Research topic 

Use of photography as mental therapy for children, especially for areas without treatment options or with a stigma towards mental illnesses

 

Research method

-Analysis of quantitative data collected from pre-session, post-session surveys

-Analysis of photographs taken by participants over a 2-3 month period

-Interviews conducted with participating children, children's guardians, and center teachers

-Photography education conducted under the Literacy Through Photography method

 

Research Findings

-Photography can be used to analyze the psychological state of the photographer, including those with learning disabilities such as ADHD

-Through photography, children associated themselves as photographers and artists

-The creative aspect allowed children to develop respect for each other
